The piglets are now out in the woods enjoying the spring - and digging up all the delicious bulbs out of the ground.
Our original sows, Kylie and Britney, have made themselves a lovely muddy swimming pool to cool down in when the sun gets too hot. Not hot enough for you and me, I know, but pigs have to be careful not to get sunburn on their pink skin!
Captain, the boar, is enjoying his new haystack - specially built to provide him with a nice sheltered spot to sleep in.
So all is well in the world of Middle White pigs at Maple Farm.

Interested in producing your own eggs? Hens to good homes...
We have recently re-homed our slightly 'older' hens, who are now basking in their retirement! We should have some more available for re-homing in a couple of months time. If you are interested in additions to your current flock, want to start from scratch or simply would like some advice, then please do not hesitate to contact us. You can contact us via our 'CONTACT US' link and either send us an email/telephone/register as a farm friend.

Maple Farm produce now in biodegradable bags...
We've finally found a bag that lives up to its promise. Under Soil Association standards we are obliged to pack our produce in bags to keep it separate from other non-organic items. But we hate plastic bags! After long research, we've found a bag that biodegrades after use without harming living creatures, micro-organisms or the environmental balance. It's more expensive but worth it. Look out for our veggies in their new bags and give us your feedback.
